The Eight Barrels mark is inspired by the vineyard's history as a rose farm as well as the ageing method used to fortify the wine, called the Solera system.

Artistic shot of drawings and logo sketches.

The brief requested a design that was elegant, traditional, luxurious and natural. To achieve the desired look, we opted for a tailored, hand-made approach to the core elements, supported by a mix of modern typography.

The figure eight was influenced by calligraphic lettering and designed to create a sense of depth, while the accompanying roses add decoration and meaning by evoking Caudo's heritage as a rose farm as well as adding character, beauty and nature.

The roses were hand-drawn and reproduced digitally before being arranged in the order the wine barrels were stored during the ageing process. The prominent figure ’8′ adds depth to the logo while tying the supporting elements together.
